Mission:  Student Council will provide students with a learning experience in the areas of leadership, community awareness and school pride.

 

Officers:  Student Council officers commit to a one-year position and agree to fulfill all duties assigned to position.

Elected positions are President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  We engage members in the democratic process by voting on each “agenda item”, or “focus item”.  Also, 50% of the student council body must be present to pass an item.

 

Goals & Objectives:  Members of Student Council will work together to provide activities and/or services that support our school, community, and charitable non-profit organizations, and/or missions.

 

Current Focus Items:

1.        Ways to aid our “Sister” schools, (Needy schools adopted by Whitefield School) in Mexico, Africa, South Dakota, and Arkansas.

2.      Initiating and implementing successful “Recycling” efforts maintained by students and staff at WRS.

3.      Spread, “Go Green” efforts and awareness at WRS.

4.      Initiating and implementing successful volunteer program to benefit WRS.
