Due to the forecasted weather - WMRHS and 8th Grade Parent Night has been postponed from Thursday, April 4th to another date that will be announced.

Good Evening White Mountains Regional School District Families and Staff. Given the weather forecast for tomorrow, we are canceling school and all after school activities.

Good Morning, WMRSD Families,
As you may have heard, WMRHS was closed to staff and students early this morning. Sometime during the night hours, an individual left a voicemail that contained a bomb threat directed at the school.
One of our staff members who regularly checks messages at 5:00 am alerted us about the message.
We worked collaboratively with the Whitefield PD and the NH State Police to develop a response to the threat.
Staff and student safety were our number one concerns, therefore, we decided to cancel school in order for the NH State Police and the Canine Unit to search the building. Fortunately, nothing was found, and the HS has been cleared.
Although the threat did not involve the Whitefield or Lancaster Elementary Schools, they activated their scan protocols according to their Emergency Operation Plans.
The High School will remain closed for the day, and students will not have to make up the day given it was an emergency situation. We will be working with the HS Administration to develop a plan on how to address this threat with HS students.
As some of you know, today the HS juniors were scheduled to take the SAT exams. We will be making this up on April 10th.
If you have any questions, please call the Central Office directly.
Sincerely,
Marion Anastasia, Superintendent and Robert Scott, Assistant Superintendent

There will be no school today for the White Mountains Regional High School due to a building issue. All other schools will be in session as normal.
